Socotra is a small company with a hit product.  The market is demanding more, and this requires a recruiting machine to scale Socotra into the company it will become.  The quality of Socotra’s current team is extremely high, and we need recruiting capacity to grow the team without sacrificing quality or altering culture.


  • Ensure a positive, smooth, and respectful experience for all of Socotra’s candidates
  • Evaluate new recruiting tools and pragmatically optimize our current tools
  • Screen candidate resumes to surface those with the highest possible chance of success
  • Make first written and verbal contact to candidates
  • Articulate Socotra’s profound vision and strong business opportunity
  • Answer sometimes difficult questions from candidates
  • Smoothly operate the many internal handoffs of a recruiting cycle
  • Communicate recruiting goals and progress to the entire organization


  • 3 years of experience as a full-time technical recruiter
  • Extensive sourcing experience
  • Strong relational and verbal communication skill

Nice to Haves

  • 5 or more years of experience as a full-time technical recruiter
  • Experience recruiting specifically for enterprise software
  • Working conversational knowledge of modern SaaS technologies
